Guest guest
Dear Friends, I was wondering if anyone had any instructions or suggestions on how to create a phurba stand? What material is the most durable but easily obtainable and malleable for such a creation? Any help would be appreciated. Yours, Tom

Most advanced practitioners I know, i.e. Masters & Lamas, merely lay them on the altar when they are not using them. What purpose would a stand serve? To make it into a murti to be worshipped instead of using it? If you must make a stand, you would do well to remember that the origin of the phurba, used along with the khatvanga, was with wandering nomads in Tibet. The khatvanga found use as a central tent pole, and the phurba were used as tent pegs. So I would recommend a flower pot with some soil as a stand.
