Indeed she is; that is why she is called : the enchantress, the personification of romance and the goddess who destroys the infatuation of a devotee. At hand these are the links I have. Guest guest
here in andhra pradesh, in India, there is a temple dedicated to Mohini or Narayana in the form of Mohini. the form is of Mohini from back and Narayana from front and is called Jaganmohini(full name of Mohini) Keshavaswami or Narayana. the temple is at a place called Ryali. The story goes like this. Shiva on hearing that Mohini looks very beautiful asks Narayana whether it is true that he in the form of Mohini looks very beautiful and if so how come, being a man, he can look so beautiful as a lady. Also he expresses interest in seeing Mohini. Narayana smiles and walks away. After some time, Shiva spots a beautiful damsel walking way at a distance. Seeing the beautiful damsel, Shiva tries to reach her and then calls for her to turn. On turning he sees that the girl is really beautiful and then she immediately turns into Narayana. On Shiva's request, Narayana remains in this spot where u can see both the forms in a single idol. Also there is a Shiva temple here as the episode took place here. regards, --- "Nora <ashwini_puralasamy" <ashwini_puralasamy wrote: > Greetings maustater > > Mohini Devi currently sits on my desktop (she's > BEAUTIFUL). > Indeed she is; that is why she is called : the > enchantress, the > personification of romance and the goddess who > destroys the > infatuation of a devotee. > > At hand these are the links I have.
