Guest guest
Sandeep, the second point is compassion; If I understand well, understanding, and not absolutely loving (I mean, you cannot love everybody, there are some people who will always hurt the others because they are unhappy themselves so if you are hurt, you should not be forced to love these people but remain non-violent and try to understand why this person had such a reaction... What are your explanations about compassion? ---------- Compassion which decides between which set of people to shower on, is no compassion. Because such division emanates from conditioning and you actually being compassionate towards your conditioning. Compassion like love, can never be an object, a goal, a virtue to be attained or achieved. There are no 12 steps to becoming more compassionate. Compassion like love is all ways a consequence of beingness, a fragrance of the flower, the showering of a cloud bursting with rain droplets. In such a beingness, one is helpless, .................showering is immediacy. Not by somebody for somebody, but just like the rain clouds which heavily pregnant,........ has to deliver, irrespective whether a thrist gets quenched or a flood awashes thousands away. A consequence of beingness. Instead of how to love, how to be compassionate, one needs to discover that beingness, ........that cloud which can only shower. That discovery, ..........that recognition ..................is essentially a recognition of what is not. It is pumpkins time . There was this whole bunch of Pumpkins in the garden of the Master. One day all the Pumpkins started fighting among themselves. So great was the quarrel that nearly the stage was reached where blood would flow, pumpkin blood. Hearing all the commotion the Master came out, saw the situation and said "You must Love each other". "How" asked the pumpkins. "We are pumpkins, we do not know all this love- shove" So the Master said 'OK, then meditate". Puzzled, the pumpkins had never meditated, they asked how that was to be done. "No problem" said the Master "See these Buddhist monks, meditating. Observe them and do exactly as them". The pumpkins looked and saw the shaved heads of the Buddhist monks, they in fact looked like pumpkins themselves. Not knowing what to do, they decided to follow suit. After all the Master had never asked them to do anything. The pumpkins got into the Buddha pose, closed their eyes and being innocent pumpkins, no dialectic thoughts running through them as disturbances, soon were lost in themselves. Soon there was such peace, such tranquillity, such depth of silence, that the pumpkins were astonished at what had happened. The Master came out, looked at the sea of tranquil pumpkins, then said " Now put your hands on your 7th chakra, the crown chakra". The pumpkins did that and lo behold they touched the branch connecting them to the tree. Following the gaze further, they saw it was the same tree. They all were connected to the same tree. They were in fact One pumpkin. "Now" said the Master "you know what Love is". In unicity, you do not love another, you are not compassionate to an other, you ARE the other.
