Guest guest
The Peacemaker Shri Shanta Durga is the avatar of Shree Jagdamba devi. She is so named as she is said to have mediated in a dispute between Shiva and the Vishnu at the request of Shri Brahman. On account of Her, there was peace, "Shanti" and She became Shantikari Durga—Shanta Durga (and also Shanteri).
