Guest guest
I seem to find this in a lot of literature about the Devi. What is this about? prainbow
Guest guest
Greetings Prainbrow I am not sure about the Wish Giving Tree, but I do know that there are strong relationship between DEVI and Vegetation particularly trees. I was in the library and found a picture of a seal discovered in the Indus Valley entitled "Mother Earth" depicting a Female giving birth to a tree. Possibility that perhaps tree itself symbolizes as a source of creation and the vegetal essence of life. Ganga Devi is said to have emerged from a tree. Guest guest
Salutations to the Lotus feet of Durga Devi ! Dear Devotee od the Divine Mother, Durga Devi ( For that matter all forms of devi) are associated with the wish -fullfilling Tree, called Kalpa-Vriksa . *Kalpa* can be translated to mean *wishes* and *vriksha* to mean *tree*. Since the divine mother grants or fulffils all our wishes (both material and spiritual) she is referred to as 'Kalpavriksha' as the celestial tree that grants all our wishes. The Kundalini shakti in the human body is also referred to as the Kalpavriksha in tantra shastra. The roots of the Celestial tree (kalpavriksha) are in the Mooladhara Chakra in the base of the spine and its branches and leaves with fruits in the Sahasrara Chakra in the brain. The Kalpavriksha mantra is" OM HREEM SHREEM KREEM DURGATI-NASHINYAI MAHAMAYAYAI SVAHA. " If you recite this mantra to Durga devi, She will remove all obstacles. Aum sree Durga Devyaii namo namaha!
