Guest guest
Namaste, Devi Poojai`s is the simplest of all other poojai. There is a daily simple poojai ( 15 minutes or less ) for any Devi`s . Pre-requisites and Procedures for Home Pooja.- Materials necessary- 1. Chakaram, Omm ( symbolic forms in Tamil or Sanskrit), Sangu. These may be drawn as " kolam" or yantras may be used, kaamachi vilaku or kuthuvilaku and images or idols. 2. Prasadam ( kalanji )/Offering/- betel leaves, betel nuts , any fruits, flowers, and milk. Prayers are begun with an image or picture of Pillayaar and saying the mantra.Th " Omm Sreem Gam Ganapathy Namaha, ( 9 or 11 or 21 times ) While reciting the mantra flowers are offered.Teebam is then offered to Pillayaar. After that continue with Devi`s Poojai. Devi`s Moola Mantras are said and "archana " for kuthuvilaku or Kaamachivilaku conducted using the flowers. While reciting ech line of the mantra a flower is offered. Then Water ( Theertham ) is then let on the prasadam ( milk or fruits ) to signigfy the completion of the archana. Teebam is then offered to the lights and the deity. One Tuesdays or Fridays ( if possible everyday ) the whole family should conduct the prayers in the morning ( dawn ) or evenings ( dusk). They are full scale poojai ( according to Sakti`s Agamas ) for Thiruvilaku Poojai ( Fridays ) and Pouranami Poojai ( Full month day). Ragu Kaala Durgai Amman pooja should not be conducted at home. This is because it is conducted in an inauspicious time. You can’t provoke your aura at this time. Your environent is full of bad energy and it’s very hard to for you to concentrate ( at home ). A new poojai should not be start in this time. In temples , we have “Balipeedam” . “Balipeedam” is a place of sacrifice but not of lives. In this your negative thoughts that you have to sacrifice. When you are in a temple, and start to worship God, it seems your bad aura ( energy ) will be absorbed by “Balipeedam” and enable you to worship God with single-minded devotion. “Poojai” itself is a declaration of faith to God and making your wish. In order to make a wish in an inauspicious time, you need to have the right place to ask for it. P/s : There are special daily mantra for welfare of the world, marriage, education and health. All mantras related to Devi. I can send if you want. Hare Durga!
