Meaning:

I, the lowest dog like, do not give up

when it is needed to be (given up);

I do not donate anything;

Listening to the sermons of the

Jains, I got disoriented.

I am pursuing - To see Your Chaste

Floral Perfect Feet, I am reaching

as the person of the Lord of thiruvaiyARu.

Thus I got uplifted.

 

Notes:

1. Giving up something. How easy it should be

when the thing is not a "need". But doesn't the

dog like mind, even after running away from it,

comes back pulled by the likes and tastes of it ?

How much more important it would be when it

"needs to be given up". Still the do the addictions

die that easily ?

One can, shows appar, instead of chasing away

those desires endlessly, get out of them by pursuing

the taste of our Lord shiva. Its a much sweeter way

of getting rid of harmful addictions than hard

renouncing - standing atop of the hill in hot sun or

pursuing the painful forced cut-off of the external

mirage of the desires.
