Guest guest
I am another one in need. Could someone tell me which of the below is the correct(?) form for this Durga mantra? OM AIM HRIM KLIM CHAMUNDAYAI VICHCHE OM OM AIM HRIM KLIM CHAMUNDAYAI VICHCHE NAMAH I keep seeing these two variants from several sources. What happens if I should use the "improper" one? Also, it is said that all true mantras have their own seer, metre, kilaka and bija. I notice that Saktism has many, many mantras which are different lengthy combinations of the various sakti bij-mantras. Does each and every one of them also have their own presiding rishi/metre/etc like the more "mainstream" Panchakshara and Ashtakshara? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi, I can tell that both of these two versions are correct, but contain different number of phonemes i.e. 11 and 12 resp., which matters. The first one, which begins and ends with OM, should make sure that it never fails, its like forcing upon the mantra by enclosing with OM. That is what I have read in Vedic Remedies in Astrology by Sanjay rath. Need to find out reasoning for that NAMAH !! Post this message to Vedic-astrology mailing list. You will get better answers there. regards, nitish --- fborg99 <fborg99 wrote: > I am another one in need. > > Could someone tell me which of the below is the > correct(?) form for > this Durga mantra? > > OM AIM HRIM KLIM CHAMUNDAYAI VICHCHE OM > > OM AIM HRIM KLIM CHAMUNDAYAI VICHCHE NAMAH > > I keep seeing these two variants from several > sources. Find this rather interesting. A member send me a personal mail earlier, apparently seems "disturbed" when people comes here and asked about mantras.
