Guest guest
Hi Nora! In the definintions or vocabularly you use the words "subtle wealth". What is meant by subtle wealth? I think I know what you mean but I'm not sure. Thanks. Eric

You like to refer that particular message for me. Please forgive me. My mind is thinking of Harry Potter, The Star Wars and Golf Balls. I am still obsess with Parvati Mirror and the Moon. What is Subtle wealth? Right now, my answer will be : I dont know. Since you said you think you know what I meant, why not share it with us. I am interested to know. Now do you know that the prolong effect of Neglect in children may caused the stagnation of their brain development. Brain scan shows that the size and weight of childrens' brain who have been exposed to prolonged neglected is much smaller than those who are not. Now my question is : can this effect be reversed? If yes, how? What can we do? Thanks. Noo I am the one who should thanks you, Eric
Guest guest
namaskar Nora, Eric is referring to the ollowing set of names that were used in Kalisahasaranama stotra.... 844] Bhagalimgamrtaprita : She Who is Beloved of the *Subtle Nectar of Wealth. * 845] Bhagalingamrtatmika : She Who is the Capacity of the *Subtle Nectar of Wealth to Manifest. * 846] Bhagalingarcanaprita : She Who is the Beloved of the Offering of *Subtle Wealth. * 847] Bhagalingasvarupini : She Who is the Intrinsic Nature of *Subtle Wealth.* 848] Bhagallingasvarupa : She Who is the Essence of *Subtle Wealth.* 849] Bhagalingasukhavaha : She Who is the Conveyance of the Pleasure of *Subtle Wealth. * ps -btw thank you for that valuable piece of information on neglecting children and how their brain development is marred by such neglect. I think children are a form of 'subtle' wealth to parents, don't you think? Jai maa !
Guest guest
OM Aspirants Any time that I read or use the word 'subtle' in the context of a spiritual discussion, it has referred to the chakra/nadi/prana system, the astral body, the pranamaya kosha. 'Subtle wealth' could mean the spirirtual riches that accrue to one who opens and balances the seven major chakras and sends prana and especially Kundalini through them. What one receives/experiences when this occurs is more valuable than any amount of earthly riches. Guest guest
This might be a bit more earth bound but what I remember was reading a discussion by Alan Watt about real wealth and how we as humans don't know what to do with it. It was such things as appreciation of the taste of strawberry, the feeling of say looking at a beautiful painting or being with loved ones watching TV together after the children's homework is done. We confuse those kinds of wealth with the wealth of the money, property or power. He found those sort of things not bad things but deadening; I gather that they were not from the soul but external prizes. This sounds terribly Christian of Buddhist Watt in certain ways but the truth is there. What has been interesting about the study of tantra and some of the practices is that one starts to see the reality of other people and the good of our physicality. That is very subtle and very important. Omprem, you are probably right in that when one begins or has cleared the charkra so that they can function, one's values all sort of shift. The old scenery looks new and beautiful. The job that you have been doing begins to be interesting again. The people you meet, you start to realize that they have their own lives like you. It is something akin to what I understand about love but larger. Yes, strawberries do taste better. Guest guest
Dear Ompremji! That was a superb explanation, could not have put it better!! A slightly different interepretation(depends on how bhagalinga is translated)- bhaga is a name of Siva, very commonly found in really old vedic texts, linga can mean subtle(linga-sarira refers to the subtle body, the body of prana); may also refer to the sivalinga, so bhagalinga could just mean a sivalinga, so the Divine Mother is the essense of the Sivalinga. yogaman , "omprem" <omprem> wrote: > OM Aspirants > > Any time that I read or use the word 'subtle' in the context of a > spiritual discussion, it has referred to the chakra/nadi/prana > system, the astral body, the pranamaya kosha. > > 'Subtle wealth' could mean the spirirtual riches that accrue to > one who opens and balances the seven major chakras and > sends prana and especially Kundalini through them. Guest guest
yogaman - so what this is talking about is the subtle energy body? and subtle energy? could I push the discussion a bit more to ask if this is the energy of the feminine? eric , "childofdevi" <childofdevi> wrote: > Dear Ompremji! > > That was a superb explanation, could not have put it better!! > > A slightly different interepretation(depends on how bhagalinga is > translated)- bhaga is a name of Siva, very commonly found in really > old vedic texts, linga can mean subtle(linga-sarira refers to the > subtle body, the body of prana); may also refer to the sivalinga, so > bhagalinga could just mean a sivalinga, so the Divine Mother is the > essense of the Sivalinga. > > yogaman > > > > , "omprem" <omprem> wrote: > > OM Aspirants > > > > Any time that I read or use the word 'subtle' in the context of a > > spiritual discussion, it has referred to the chakra/nadi/prana > > system, the astral body, the pranamaya kosha. > > > > 'Subtle wealth' could mean the spirirtual riches that accrue to > > one who opens and balances the seven major chakras and > > sends prana and especially Kundalini through them. Guest guest
> so what this is talking about is the subtle energy body? and subtle Actually I just mentioned that linga-sarira( from the mantra om linga- sarira soshaya soshaya swaha) means suble body, the pranic body; had nothing to do with the discussion; > energy? could I push the discussion a bit more to ask if this is the > energy of the feminine? hmm.. prana does not have a gender; so the answer is yes it is the energy of the feminine (and also masculine:-)) yogaman > > eric > > > , "childofdevi" > <childofdevi> wrote: > > Dear Ompremji! > > > > That was a superb explanation, could not have put it better!! > > > > A slightly different interepretation(depends on how bhagalinga is > > translated)- bhaga is a name of Siva, very commonly found in really > > old vedic texts, linga can mean subtle(linga-sarira refers to the > > subtle body, the body of prana); may also refer to the sivalinga, so > > bhagalinga could just mean a sivalinga, so the Divine Mother is the > > essense of the Sivalinga. > > > > yogaman > > > > > > > > , "omprem" <omprem> wrote: > > > OM Aspirants > > > > > > Any time that I read or use the word 'subtle' in the context of a > > > spiritual discussion, it has referred to the chakra/nadi/prana > > > system, the astral body, the pranamaya kosha. > > > > > > 'Subtle wealth' could mean the spirirtual riches that accrue to > > > one who opens and balances the seven major chakras and > > > sends prana and especially Kundalini through them. Guest guest
Namashkar Yogaman. This again is another meaningful interpretation of the term' subtle wealth.' If one wants to fully understand the various names of Kali as listed in Sri Kalisahasaranama stotra, one needs to Chant all these names in the sequence in which they are posted. you mention rather significantly, "A slightly different interepretation(depends on how bhagalinga is translated)- bhaga is a name of Siva, very commonly found in really old vedic texts, linga can mean subtle(linga-sarira refers to the subtle body, the body of prana); may also refer to the sivalinga, so bhagalinga could just mean a sivalinga, so the Divine Mother is the essense of the Sivalinga." Yogaman, please read the following set of names which support your viewpoint. 829] Lingabhidhayini : She Who is a Progenitor of the Subtle Body. 830] Lingapriya : She Who is the Beloved of the Subtle Body. 831] Linganivasini : She Who resided Within the Subtle Body. 832] Lingastha : She Who is Situated in the Subtle Body. 833] Lingini : She Who is the Capacity of the Subtle Body. 834] Lingarupini : She Who is the Intrinsic Nature of the Subtle Body. 835] Lingasundari : She Who is the Beautiful One in the Subtle Body. so, in reality all these different names are interconnected and merge in one supreme reality. now, read these other set of names... Bhagarupa : She Who is the Form of Wealth. 824] Bhagasthatri : She Who resides Within Wealth. 825] Bhaginibhagadharini : She Who Upholds Wealth and is the Wealth. 826] Bhagatmika : She Who is the Capacity for the Support of Wealth. 827] Bhagadhararupini : She Who is the Intrinsic Nature of the Manifestation of Wealth. So, the divine mother is 'wealth' itself - all forms of wealth- spiritual and material. She also resides in the gross and the subtle body. She is inside of you and outside of you. She unites with her divine lord in the Sahasara chakra - the merging of both male and feminine energies to form one Cosmic Union. Om Shiva-shakti yuktayaii namaha! ps - The entire srri kalisahasaranama stotra is a great literary piece and in order to benefit from its chanting, one needs to chant each name in proper sequence and in a devotional mood.
