Guest guest
Namashkar Shri Om Prem, This is a perfect interpretation of the term 'subtle' wealth. Subtle it is because this wealth is not visible to the naked eye! while one can see and enjoy tangible wealth like automobiles, movable property like houses, land etc . One can adorn oneself with gold and other precious ornaments and use 'bank balance' etc to enrich oneself. At best, all this is material.... but the wealth you have described is truly the 'divine wealth' or what in Bhagvat Gita is described as 'divine wealth' by Lord Krishna . This daivi sampath (divine wealth) has 26 attributes that are described in chapter 16, verses 1, 2 and 3. (please read the gita to know what these 26 attributes are.) if interested, I will describe them. Daivi prakrti (Divine treasure or Daivi sampat) or the nature of the gods leads to moksha (liberation) or release from the rounds of birth and death. Daivi sampat enables the aspirant to attain the highest state of superconsciousness , wherein the seer and the seen are united in one; the meditator and the meditated become identical. so, when a spiritual aspirant prays to Sree Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth , she grants the devotee both material wealth (bhukti or enjoyment) or Mukthi ( libertation or spiritual wealth.) - so, it is for this reason, Devi is described as "'bhukti-mukthi pradayini." In traditional hindu families, children are considered a form of wealth- they are called 'putra-sampathi' but the kind of spiritual wealth you have described, Om Prem, is considered superior to all forms of wealth- this is why Mark Twain said "'East is materially poor but spiritually Rich." Once Swami Vivekananda approached Shri Ramakrishna and told him how and his family were suffering due to acute poverty and did not even have one square meal to eat. Young Naren requested the Master to pray to Mother Kali on his behalf and ask the divine Mother to bless Young Naren's family with some material wealth. The master said, "Naren, I cannot do this on your behalf , you need to request this from goddess Kali this boon all by yourself." Well, Naren prayed very hard to goddess Kali but somehow he could not bring himself to ask the divine mother for any of the material things he needed. Finallym, he gave up. So it was with Bhakt Dhruva when he came face to face with Lord Mahavishnu - before young Dhruva had darshan of Lord VISHNU, he wanted a share of his father's kingdom but once he had the divine darshan of the Lord, he did not crave for anything else. So Om Prem, when a yogi sees and experiences the 'Blue Pearl' would he even care to own other gems like rubies, pearls, diamonds, emeralds ? the blue pearl is the highest treasure, indeed! Jai Maa!
