Guest guest
You intrigue me Moooorish. Let me list the things you have asked so far 1. You ask for any good books on Shaktism, 2. Then followed by a good Aryuvedic doctor, 3. Are there any malas sacred to Devi that I can use in chanting my mantras? 4. I am looking for a really good yoga teacher You seems to be in search all the time. Will the search end when you find what you are searching for? For will it prompt you to search for more. What happen if the things that you are searching for is not there, but another instead, will you be satisfied? Is it possible that the things you are searching for is right before your eye but you did not see it. Can you be satisfied with what you have? In your pervious message you remarked : "Well, I think that the Brain and the Mind are two separate entities. I think the Mind controls the Brain. The Brain just coordinates the physical functions of the body. The mind is like the overseer of the brain . It tells the brain what to do. Without the mind the brain would not be able to function. The mind is much more subtle then the brain is. It not only is the overseer of all physical functions. But it is charge of the emotional, mental states. The mind is very vast" Just some personal thoughts of mind. I can also say that the mind cannot function without the brain. Have you heard of "brain dead". This is a state where the brain is functioning but not really functioning. The heart still pumping, the other vital organs are still functioning, but the person is not "functioning". Can we say too that the mind is dead. If the mind is a separate entity, then the mind should be alive. How do we know that it is still alive? Have you seen a person with metabolic disorder such as liver and diabetes. For liver cases when there are imbalances in the liver enzymes, they go bonkers. They behave in disorderly manner. This is because their brain is being affected by the metabolic imbalances. If the mind is separate, then it should no have any effect on the person. The person should still behave rationally and can think. But why didn't they? "the mind is very vast" IS this vastness limited with the physical size of the brain. "the prolong effect of Neglect in children may caused the stagnation of their brain development. Brain scan shows that the size and weight of childrens' brain who have been exposed to prolonged neglected is much smaller than those who are not. Now my question is : can this effect be reversed? If yes, how? What can we do?" Now since The mind is like the overseer of the brain . It tells the brain what to do, so if I am to concentrate on the mind will it have any improvement on the brain size or improvement in the development of the brain on the whole? By the way, did you get the opportunity to read or watch "The Star Wars" as Ive mentioned. Please dont take this questions wrongly. Not meant to insult or anything, just to "tickle" you. When I was 20, I decided to search for a 5 year period and whatever I thought was most interesting after that time, I would commit myself to. And I did. It is not something I regret. In some sense I feel it is often better to learn something good, than to learn everything just on the surface. Especially when it comes to "spiritual" things.
