If it is something that I would like to become, it is not vampire.

Particularly when there are so many other possibilities.

If there is something the universe appears to be lacking, it is a kind of

female version of Narada Muni. That would be something. To travel around the

universe, always singing the glories of Radha(-Ramana), and then in general

don't get too involved in anything. Well, if you wake up in another lifetime,

and there is suddenly a Prisnidevi Pancaratra, or better a Prisnidevi Gita,

or something like that, you know who did it :-)

There is a Swedish saying - aim for the stars, then you might end up at the

edge of the forest.

Meaning, put your goals much higher than you expect to come, and you will be

happy even when ending up short of it.

I agree with you Nora!

Besides, is this a topic for this forum? Is this not a space where we discuss

the Energy of Love and Shakti and Divine Mother?

My own opinion is that such a topic should be in some other forum.

May the Love and Light of Devi guide all of us!

I'm guessing that Moth has assumed that, since some aspects of Kali are

blood-drinking, and play with dead things, that Shaktas would be

interested in emulating her.

When I give talks about Kali at Pagan festivals, there are inevitably

"Goth chicks" and wanna-be vampires who show up in black clothes and

white make-up, their eyes slightly glazed, who ask me, "How can I kill

something for Kali?"

I suggest, instead of seeking prey (be it bugs or people), that such

beings offer to Kali their negative traits. "Mother, take my vanity...

Mother, take my ignorance... Mother, take my anger, jealousy, and

attachment to material things..."

I couldn't agree with you more, Kalipadma

When the first time I read the message, I thought the same thing :

Should this be here, but when I reread it again, it fascinates me.

The vampire issue. Don't know but I am merely looking at the

symbolic nature of it. The Vampire in us and how do we resolve this

issue.

I find it pretty amazing, or maybe sad, that the Indian idea of a

goddess/mother is so mixed up with either hell or like you say. If I ever

would mention Kali, people who think they know something, seems to link it

with a horrible goddess that the "thugs" worshiped and offered their poor

wictims to, and not a mother image. But then, the Indian god "Jaggannath"

(master or the universe), from the town Jagganath Puri, which is a version of

Krishna, has given birth to the english word "Jaggernaut", which is something

extremely big and unstoppable that just goes forward and destroys everything

in its way.

Of course, the old Swedish goddesses, in this country that was

goddess-worshiping some thousand years ago, all become names of satan, or

hell, or some similar abinomable place, when the only male god was introduced

by christianity, and women status sunk from sometimes being worth two men, to

nothing.
