Guest guest
[i mean this not to sound pre-judgemental in a pejorative way but wouldn't you have found that the Muslims there would have exercised more civility and self control?] I wonder how much self-control anyone would have when you are being barraged by 2,000 pound bombs, enemy soldiers storming your streets and social services and structures collapsing? All of those years of frustration, tension not to mention the pressure of an impending doom of another war. A war which is turning out to have been completely bogus on it's face. But I digress on that last point. There has been no religion or high-minded philosophy that has been able to over-ride millions of years of animal response, knee-jerk reactions. It's easy to be enlightened on the mountain top but when there's mass chaos in the valley it's a little harder to be a picture of perfection and purity for the majority of people Besides, it's not as if all of the Muslims and other religionists in the country were looting the museums, running wild in the streets. Some people have the strength of Will to become more than they are, to apply themselves to a more refined ideal and some do not, for whatever reason. Om Krim Kali! Guest guest
Lets be frank and fair its all preplanned western action to plunder the third world of its riches; culture and artefacts. They been at it for centuries and will continue till possession of stoilen artefacts are made a crime and it should be returned to the country of origin. But then what will western museums have?
