Wales's best kept secret!

Namaste,

 

Last weekend, on purnima (full moon) I went to visit an ashram in

west wales, tucked away in a small remote vale (there is not even a

proper road going there, only a traktor track!)

 

The place is called Skanda Vale and has a Vishnu Temple, a Murugan

Temple and ...a Maha Kali Temple!

The Kali temple is on top of the hill, and to access it, the devotees

must go up a steep trail!

 

I was so excited in having darshan of Ma Kali, my dear Ishta Deva, as

in London area, as far as I know, there is no Kali Ma temple.

About 500 people were attending the puja (Maha Abishekam) of Ma Kali

for Purnima.

Now, the temple can only hold about 40 devotees. The rest must stay

outside and watch the puja from a big TV screen in the temple's

fourcourt.

I desperatly wanted to have Ma Kali's darshan in her holy temple, not

from outside so as we queued for about 3 hours, in hope to get one of

the few coveted passes that allow entry inside the temple, I chanted

Ma Kali's mantra in my heart and mind, surrendering to her and humbly

asking her to allow me in her house.

Then, my prayers was answered! I was one of the last people to get a

pass! All around other devotees told me, you are so lucky, soo lucky!

But I knew its no luck at all, only that Ma kali grants her holy

darshan to her sincere devoted loving bhaktas. All you need to do is

ask her with full faith and humility and love!

Anyway, as we waited for the priests to open the temple's doors,

devotees started chanting and singing bhajans. So as i brought a

drum, I started playing with them.

When the pujaris opened the doors, one had heard my playing and told

me to bring my drum in and play in the puja!!!

So I played with the temple's drummer! it was fantastic and Ma Kali

was delighted! I could see her smile ! Her murti was so alive!

AMAZING!

Not many devotees get to play for Ma, I am so honoured!

The puja lasted about 3 hours and we played on and off through out.

This day I received Kali Mata's incredible mercy and shakti and

blessings, something has happened which has strenghtened my faith and

spiritual practice and bliss even more!
