Meaning:

One, Who willingly ate the poison itself as the

ambrosia, Who is the Source, Who has the glory of

being worshipped by the deathless (divines), Who

resides in the mind of those who contemplate, the

Death to death, Who is worshipped by the

fragrant-plaited Lady umA forever, my Lord of Ekambam,

to see Him, I got the sight.

 

Notes:

1. cundharar who lost the sight of both his eyes as he

left thiruvoRRiyUr leaving back caN^giliyAr, pleaded

to the Lord Ekambar at kAnci. God gave him the sight

of the left eye. Praising the Mercy of God Who

rejoices the company of Goddess, cundharar rejoiced

the sight God gave to see Him.
