Guest guest
i am writing as a third person's perspective since i am not indian. and i am writing in regard to the aryan invasion and the caste system.. i personally belive that it is unlikely that teh "supposedly" superior aryan "invaded" india but it is likely that they settled in.. these are some of teh reasons why i disagree with that notion... 1) The Aryan Invasion theory was promoted heavily by the English during the 300 years of invasion. by equating the influence of the aryans. a caucasiod race... to a Hindu and advanced ancient India is one of the British tactics to disregard Indian's contributions to world civilisation. 2) Where were the Aryans from ? According to official records.. Central Asia.. which used to a fertile grazing land.. but were soon depleted due to teh over-dependence on Goats..-- you can still see the region's particular liking fo mutton till this day ... Goats as we know.. not only enjoy the leavy greens but also uproot the entire plant.. causing deserfication.. These Aryans were in fat dying of starvation or at least in severe economical problems.. whereelse India was prosperous .. Now.. is it possible that Zimbabwe conquering USA?? I don;t think so .. 3) To Invade a country .. it is very very important to have a base .. (duhh) or else who is going to provide teh soldiers with food, clothing and medication.. while we might have the tendency to think of settlement in terms of builiding a base in the matter of weeks,, be reminded that it was very veryvery very different back in that period.. and civilisations often ytake centuries just TO SURVIVE.. and yet the English showed no evidences in the "BASES" in which the Aryans attacked India .. highly suspicious 4) it is true that several deties in Hinduism are almost perpetually portrayed with fair skin.. such as saraswati .... but it is interesting to note that Lord Krishna who existed some 5000 years ago... about the same time of the "supposedly" Aryan invasion is said to be soo dark that he is blue.. A black God in a white world??? I don;t think so ... so i would like to think that aryan invasions did not exist.. and caste system is just another way to define the division of labor.. teh brahmins take care of things spieritual while the ksytriya .. things to do with war and protection.. every single culture practises "caste system" so there is no need to be self righteous.. why do u think that europeans have last names like Merrifield -- farmers .. or Church -- Religious related or Smith- Black smiths .. their society was just as highly segregated as the Indians if NOT MORE .. do remember that China and India were enjoying sublime growth while infant Europe was still sucking on her mother's bosoms.. tang ( a chinaman )
