Guest guest
"The other Shakta "trinity" I can think of is contained within the Maha-Devi Herself. As Shiva-Shakti, She is Erotic Mother (Parvati/Uma),Providing Virgin (Durga), and Avenging Tribal (Kali). This comes closeto the European/ Wiccan trinity of Maiden, Mother, and Crone." Thank you Len/ Kalipadma I believe I have asked you once via mail about constant preoccupation of portraying Kali in her fearsome form. For the benefits of the list, there are indeed another form of Kali being portrayed, her benign form. In Karpuradi-stotra she is young and beautiful, has a gentle smiling face and makes gestures of with her two right hands that dispel fear and offer boons. Kali too is seen in as whom the hero achieves success. She frees the Sadhaka from fear itself. In here She does not symbolizes Death but triumph over death.
