For me, who is drowning in a pit swayed around by the (desires of) five senses, please show a way out, oh Lord in the abode of thiru ONakAn^than thaLi ! Notes: 1. Does the Almighty, Supreme God dictate the devotees to be just fearful and obedient ? Hindu saints show that they worship God out of love and not just out of fear. cundharar excels in this aspect and shows that one may be able to take liberty in the relationship with God (of course with the thread of reverence to the Supreme being intact). This total pathikam is one such. 2. As if lamenting, cundharar conveys his devotion in this padhikam. This song of complaints cryptically praises the glory of God and determination of his devotion. ===== --\ ----------- Name of hara encompass ! World be free from sufferings !!
