Time Out: The Sequel

As fascinating as these Aryan posts can be to read, I would once

again like to step in and ask that we tone down the pitch a bit. The

conversation is degenerating into something little more than --

please excuse me for being overly blunt -- a racist pissing contest.

Please note that the primary purpose of this Group is the

glorification and worship of the Devi, and a discussion of myriad

related topics. Think of it as a cyber Devi Temple, and speak

accordingly: If you wouldn't feel comfortable talking about it in

your pooja room, temple, mosque, chuurch and wherever you worship,

then you probably shouldn't feel comfortable saying it here. I do not

want to silence anyone, and I have not rejected ANY posts on this

topic so far. But I would ask that everyone make an effort to keep

the tone respectful and friendly rather than combative and

accusatory. If that doesn't happen, the thread can't continue.

As stated previously: Lively, passionate discussion makes for good

and informative reading. No post will be rejected for its theoretical

content. HOWEVER, ANY POST THAT IS INSULTING AND/OR DISRESPECTFUL IN

TONE, OR THAT ATTACKS OR DENIGRATES OTHER MEMBERS AND/OR THEIR

OPINIONS WILL BE REJECTED, regardless of content.

Thanks for your help and cooperation, and -- once again -- sorry for

playing the heavy.

I, too, must applaud Devi Bhakta in seeking civility on emotional

issues. Each race contains both good people and bad. Each nation has

historical events of which it should be proud and those of which it

should be ashamed. Any person who proclaims that her/his own nation

or race is perfect has not read enough of her/his own history.

Even when wrongs have been committed in the past, the choice of

what to do about these is ours. Do we continue to hate those of

another nation because of things that their ancestors did centuries

ago? Or do we reach out the hand of love and friendship? We cannot

change the past, but we can change the future. It is for each of us

to decide whether our grandchildren we regard us as having left a

positive or a negative legacy.
