Guest guest
Hello all! This is my first post to the group and I was hoping someone could help my ignorance - can anyone please tell where the worship of Kali fits in the history of India? I am referring to Kali as Triple goddess and mother figure. I recently read the story of Her origins and I confess my interest in this much misunderstood Deity was piqued. Thank you for your help. According to my husband, who has been strudying such things professionally for many years, Kali is the oldest deity in India. She was the supreme ruler of heaven and earth thousands of years ago. All other gods and goddesses came later, some of them usurping parts of her power.
