Guest guest
Vanakkan Kanna_Krishnan and GitaPrana I would really encourage this and look forward for Gitaprana contribution on The worship of Dakshina Kali. Details is good and Kanna_ Krishna's suggestion is excellent but just a gentle reminder that if its too long( more than 5 KB ), is it okay to download it in the file section of the group and therefore make the necessary announcement. Members who are interested will get it from there. We do not want other members to complain that Shakti Sadhana group is taking too much space in their inbox dont we? If Gitaprana is not familiar with the downloading of file, perhaps GIta would email them to me and I will do the necessary. Really appreciate this. Thank you once again. Guest guest
Namaste-Yes, I am thinking how to do this. It is one thing to simply give instructions for the process. It is another, more difficult thing to explain how and why. There are many really learned people on this list. I am thinking to record the puja process in short portions, and send it to everyone for comment. It would be REALLY valuable then. There are so many puja paddhatis/manuals from different lineages. Very few give more than brief instructions and the mantras. Anyhow it will take me some time. In the meantime, there is a book containing a Kali Puja put out by shreemaa.org. The puja is roughly similar to the puja I know. It also contains the Kali Sahasranama and several other stotrams. It is called KALI PUJA, by Swami Satyananda Saraswati. In my opinion, teaching should be simple and straight to the point so that everyone can relate too. Longer instruction, we can redirect to the file section. What I will do is that I will create the file called : Worshipping of Dakshina Kali. All messages with regards to this will automatically goes to the file. Make it easier for others to follow them. I am sure other members are also eagerly waiting for it. They will participate as we progresses along. There are so many puja paddhatis/manuals from different lineages. Guest guest
Vanakkam Kanna_Krishnan Books are books. They are indirectly also considered a "Guru" and very sacred, but nothing is more valuable than a personal experience and receiving instruction for an experience person. I am more of a pratical person or a tactical worker. I have a whole collection of Sakta books and pass issues of Ferment. Since you are staying around the corner, why not drop over one of these days. I am more than happy to share my collections with anyone. Two young sadhaks who is also a member of this group will be coming over the weekend. It will be really nice to have you around too. A note for members who have made enquiries about FERMENT. Colin is currently planning to put up a homepage for FERMENT and the Mystics of Kali. But if anyone still interested to to FERMENT or wanted the back issues, please contact him direcly. The list of back issue that he might have ( according to the list that I have too ) is in the file section of the group.
