Namaste, m6 ...

I'm sorry! That information should be in our Group calendar, and for

some reason (i.e., my neglect!)it's not ... I'll add it in a day or

two for members' convenience.

Navratri this year runs from Friday, 26 September 2003 to Saturday, 4

October 2003. For new members who may not be aware of it, Navratri is

the principle annual festival for Shaktas -- here, Devi is worshipped

in Her form as Mahishasura Mardini (for mnore information, see our

Group homepage at

http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/DEVI/mahishasuramardini.html).

In the midst of Navratri, we also celebrate Saraswati Puja on

Thursday, 2 October 2003. The tenth night, Vijaya Dashami (Dasera),

is observed on Sunday 5 October 2003. ... And, of course, not long

afterward comes Deepavali (Diwali), Lakshmi Devi's Festival of

Lights, falling on Saturday 25 October 2003!

Hope that is useful, m6. Mark your calendars, everyone!

Thank you for this reminder! I could feel in the changing seasons

that Navaratri was not far off!

I've just been lurking in the group lately. I've had the worst car

luck imaginable and just keep praying to "the Goddess of Chariots and

all transportation" for help. Would that relate to one of the Devis?

Hopefully today I will sign the documents for my new (to me) car. I'm

going to cover it in bumper stickers and run it on vegetable oil! The

first bumper sticker I'm going to get is the one with the picture of

the Earth that says "Love Your Mother" I can't wait!

Bright Blessings of the Goddess on us all!
