Guest guest
Hmmmm, interesting. Although my Dianic Coven had a "brother" coven of men who worshipped the Goddess, and they were lovingly considered our brothers in the Goddess, we never allowed men into our covens unless they were open celebrations. Another reason that is important to mention (for all women circles) is that many of the women turn to Dianic worship because they have been wounded in their personal lives--from sexual discrimination and abuse, rape, to unpleasant experiences in the religion they were raised into that made them feel "less than" and excluded, women feel more comfortable and able to share their experiences with the support of other women. This is why men are rarely allowed. It's women's sacred space where alot of deeply personal and spiritual "women's" issues are dealt with. Women's circles are a source of healing. Then again, it's all open to interpretation and the specific set of beliefs of the coven. Peace, Amirah
