Guest guest
One hand hold a "Kumbha" or water pot, and the other holds a rosary. Traditionally Brahmacharini is thought of as a women who is into celibacy. Personally I believe, Brahmacharini have a deeper meaning. The kumbha/ kalasa/ Kamandalu is a pot filled with water. It represents the deity and may be understood as an expression of several values, mostly related to the generative and purifying power of the water. The rosary symbolizes concentration or the meditative process involved in the acquiring of knowledge. She is dress in white, which symbolizes purity. We need to purify the mind and the heart only then knowledge and wisdom will come knocking. Brahmacharini personifies commitment and self discipline as one start their spiritual journey towards the divine. This journey is the migration from a world of ignorance and bondage towards enlightment and freedom.
