Guest guest
"In the Sadhana of Durga, both the goddess and the demons are perceived as being within oneself. The Durgic process allows us to see the shadow of the self, the pleasant and the unpleasant within ourself, goading us onward to continue strengthening the pleasant aspect in us till we shine, truly shine - like Her - and this process of strengthening is a continuous one until one is refined and amalgamated." Madhu and Kaitabha are the two asuras that are supposedly come out from the dirt of the ear of Vishnu. This ideas brings me to mind that all "dirt" residues in us if not removed will not only hinder our spiritual progress but blocks our mental creativity. What "dirt" can we deduce from here. In my opinion these dirt refers to our past experiences. Bad memories that over a period of time, we collect them and carry around with us. This brings me back to our previous discussion on healing: "Why do our minds are so unsettled or easily agitated? IS there an unresolved issues that bugs us. The underlying trauma that have "hurt" us physically/emotionally/psychologically. Most will say "Nah! Ive overcome it" but did we? Or we cover it up with other emotions so as not to show that we are indeed hurt and still hurting. Its like the wound. The wound need to be healed. Even if the wound did heal, it still leaves scars and to some extend pain. Not severe but dull irritating pain. Once we try to stretch our selves, the pain get severe, and it hurts us. We need to resolve that pain before we talk about healing altogether. Personally I believe Healing is the first step to any spiritual progress." The Sadhana of Durga is the path of the "warrior who is not afraid". It takes a great courage to look at our own dirty wounds. To have the ability to heal/clean it ourselves, is indeed a heroic act. Mahakali as in the Durgic process, demands that we should severe this "dirt". Remove it, killed it and drown it in the primal waters, only then creativity and transformation can takes place.
