Guest guest
Mahagauri is a survivor. What can happen when we are face with Kaalratri's "shock" treatment? If one does not handle it right, one will end up schizophrenic. To be Mahagauri is to maintain our sanity within the insanity and you emerged from it a stronger person. So this message :- "throwing mind into disarray or shocking you to reality is what will take the mind higher" does make sense She is also well known as the patron Goddess of Womanhood, and is worshipped by all the women folk with utmost devotion and piety. Guest guest
Namaste, Apparently 'gauri' means 'golden', and is cognate with 'gaudy'; although I have drawn a blank on the Hindunet online Hindi/Sanskrit dictionary, here. Mahagauri is especially important to me, because she perhaps forms an IE link with Welsh 'Blodeuwedd' ['flowerlike'] who was conjured principally from yellow flowers, meadowsweet and broom.
