I am only guessing, as I think of the biblical storie of feet washing, and how that was such an honor, to wash the feet of the guest. Maybe it is because the feet are the most humble part of us that which is closest to the earth. Blood and Semen are physical embodiments of spiritual ideals and represent Eros and Creation Magic? The feet represent our earthliness? So, the point is to make what is earthly also holy ? This is purely me guessing -- making a stab in the dark, from what I've read on the homepage and about -- so excuse me if this is way off base...
