Guest guest
namasthe, Any idea whether kudukuduppANdi people in TamilNadu state of India are Aghoris ? They usually are in cremation grounds during nights and come and ask for alms during the day time in all the houses. They sometimes come during the night in front of each house and would tell about any significant event that is about to happen in that house in the near future. Parents usually tell children that they should not look at them face to face during nights, when they come to each house. I heard from my brother that one such kudukuduppANdi came to our house a few months before my GrandFather passed away and told in the night that my Grand Father would be taking a white horse or white charriot very soon and in a few months my Grand Father passed away. He is called kudukuduppANdi as he has a small damaru instrument in his hand and plays it and whenever he comes around the city and to all the houses in day and night time. This damaru gives a typical "kudu kudu kudu kudu" sound :-(. ANdi in Tamil is one who has nothing - either one who has renounced or who has lost everything. Anyone has any more info on them ? Are they Devi Bhakthas ? namasthe Prasad __________ Enter for a chance to win one year's supply of allergy relief! http://r.hotbot.com/r/lmt_clrtn/http://mocda3.com/1/c/563632/125699/307982/30798\
Guest guest
OM SRI GURAVEE NAMAHA OM SRI MATREENAMAHA Dear Brother, This Kududupandi was a cult in Tamilnadu from very time immemorial. The first thing what a kudukudupandi does is secrectly find out from a village where a new born boy has expired on Amavasi day. If so he will go to the cremation ground and take the skull of that boy and will do the japas in the cremation ground with this skull. The deity they worship is called JAKKAMMA. They wil say JAI JAKKAMMA.Before they predict anything they will do the poojas in the cremation ground using the skull which they always keep with them. They will do the poojas from midnightto certain time as their initiator has told them to do. Thats why it is told not to see them when they tell you some thing in the night. They will predict only one or maximum2 houses as their powers fails after that. The next day they will come only to those houses where they have done their prediction. They will not take any money but only worn out cloths. A friend of mine has told me that they are usually Kaali Upasakas which i really don't know. yourslovingly brother krisshnan --- Prasad Balasubramanian <besprasad wrote: > namasthe, > > Any idea whether kudukuduppANdi people in > TamilNadu > state of India are Aghoris ?
