Guest guest
I thought that today would be an auspicious day to share a prayer by the wise and sainted Mohandas K. Gandhi. It is said that he used this prayer at the beginning of every political meeting. The prayer calls for peace between Hindu and Moslem. Today is a good day to share this. Yesterday was Diwali; today the first day of Ramadan. Someone once asked Gandhi whether he was Hindu or Moslem. He answered "I am a Hindu and I am a Moslem and I am a Christian and I am a Jew." He proved once again his wisdom by loving all faiths and hating none. I hope that you will all join in this prayer with me today. I hope also that you will all proudly proclaim "Salam!" and "Jai Mahakali!" with the same breath and the same fervor. There is already too much hatred and violence in this world. Let peace start within our own souls and spread outward from us. Raghupati, Raghava, Raja Ram. Patita Paban Seeta Ran. Seeta Ram jai, Seeta Ram. Eeswara Allah tere nam. Sabko Sanmoti de bhagwan.
