Guidance - Srividhya - tulsi

Dear friends,

while several of us will write everything can be

offered to goddess with purity of mind & devotion

wondering if tulsi could be offered to the goddess i

heard only tulsi puspa could be offered.your comments

please.

My guru had told me not to use Tulso in worshipping sri yantra except when

reciting Lalita Sahasra nama

Yes, this struck me as odd. I understood that tulsi was appropriate to

offer to Krishna, Rama, perhaps other avatars of Vishnu.

 

The Goddess prefers hybiscus flowers, or lotuses.

The other best offering or to do archana is with

vilwa, bilwa(the leaf which resembles the 3 eyes of

Lord shiva). It is said that if a person who plucks

this leaf and gets hurt by the thorn in the tree and

if blood comes out he will become a king in the next

janma, if the leaf is for shiva pooja. But if it is

for Devi pooja he will be aa emperor. See the

difference what devi does.
