Hello,

 

I was wondering if there is any resource you know of that tells of

the practical applications for women in daily life that can empower

their position in society as related to Saktism. Basically, I am

writing a paper on the influence of Saktism or the influence of

religious beliefs in general in India on women today given the

changing climate they are presently engaged in- development at the

hands of Western culture. I know that the spiritual/religious beliefs

of traditional Hinduism served the society "well" in their suppresion

of women's part in productive/valued society, but I am wondering how

that is changing, and is Shaktism playing a part in encouraging women

to be more active players in their changing world? Sorry if this is a

bit overwhelming, but I am desperate to find material for my

particular interest. Thanks so much!
