Guest guest
Dear Aditya: These practices if practiced without proper supervision and direct intervention from an experienced person can actually do harm than good. It appears you are doing practicing "khechari" mudraa. But have you thought of why such mudraa is to be practiced before attempting it? Only clue I can give you is to it's relationship with "mahavedha". But practice it only with proper understanding and guidance. Regards and best wishes, Dr. Yadu
Guest guest
Dear Aditya, Swami Sivananda has also warned that this process be done only under a Guru's guidance. In the yesteryears, there were many people who did this even with a guru's guidance and came to great harm by cutting the frenum and trying to elongate the tongue, so it would be prudent to try not to do this anymore till you find the right guidance. Also in this practice, there are a number of things in this mudra that are not just a mechanistic act of cutting and getting siddhies. Sri Yukteswar, opines that kechari siddhi can be obtained without cutting- there have been a number of his shishyas who attained this- try to get kriya initiation from a genuine kriya master, this should be enough to get kechari siddhi. Only when kechari siddhi has been attained does a genuine kriya teacher give initiation into the second kriya. Practice of the first kriya, maha-mudra and yoni mudra in the right sequence as taught by a guru is the best way of getting siddhi in kechari than cutting the tongue- this takes several years of diligent sadhana.
