"I love this piece that you use as a sign off"

Let my every word be a prayer to Thee,

Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Thee,

Every step I take a circumambulation of Thy image,

Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Thee,

Every time I lay down a prostration at Thy feet;

Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do,

Let it all be a form of worshiping Thee."

>From Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari"

Greetings to You Prainbow

The Verse Sankaree quoted is from the famous Saundaryalahari. We have

it in our group. It is in the file section under Saundaryalahari.

Doc. This was posted by our beloved member Pentakali long time ago at

the old club. I have complied them and save it .

Namaste,

Thank you so much! Wow, there's so much there to explore!

Can anyone tell me more about Shri Aadi Shankara or more about the

context of this document. I see that it is tantric. Very elaborate.

Must say, my favorite part so far is the quote below.

Thank you for pointing out to me that the entire document is there for

me to peruse, what a gift!

Blessings,

pr

Pranam, Prainbowji.

I am glad that the verse from Saundaryalahiri is your favourite. Sri Aadi

Shakarar is a great saint who was born in Kerala. He wrote many famous slokas

and stotras. For instance, Saundarya Lahiri, Ananda Lahiri, Kankadhara stotra,

Bhaja Govindam and so on. When you read the translation of Kanakadhara stotram,

you will be overwhelmed with the poetical genius of the Acharya. Try these links

for more info on him.

I am sorry that you are currently unemployed. Don't worry. Maa will take care. I

will pray for you. Maybe, this is trite but true. Whatever happens, it is always

for our own good. Have faith and be strong. It will pass.

Namaskar Shankaree,

Thank you for your kindness. The stories about Sre Aadi Shakarar are

very interesting. How wonderful that such devotion and insight are

valued in India. It would be nice if there was something similar here

in the U.S. When I visited Chandigarh I was so impressed at how

casually and easily the subject of spiritual matters came up over

meals and among acquaintences. It was a pleasure. It reminded me of

the small community that I travel in here.

I do trust the Goddess to care for me, who else can? I have printed

out that verse so that I can add it to my meditations and carry it

around with me. I do appreciate your prayers.

Blessings,
