Meaning:

The (God) ruled king reverently came forward, with

melting love went amidst the band of devotees, bowed

down at the feet with flawless great ardor. Holding

the hands of the saluted, taking with the

indescribable floral hands and saluting, the one who

cried and got the One Who comes on the bull, said,

"apparE" (father) and he replied, "aDiyEn" (your

slave) !

 

Notes:

1. The first meet of the two eyes of shaivism, to whom

we owe indescribably a lot !

2. The flawless mutual reverence they had for each

other has been pictured by cEkkizAr in the epical

words. For such a respectable devotee, cambandhar does

not get satisfied to address him even as "appa". He

addressed the grand sage as "apparE" ! (This title of

him seem more uttered than even the God given title

"thirunAvukkaracu" !). That saint is so great, he did

not address cambandhar "pillAy", but said, "your

slave" ! Further words to describe this would be

futile. Just imagining the glorious esteemed intimacy

in these words of cEkkizAr perumAn would be the best

thing of having mind.
