Guest guest
My dearest friends and Siblings, Today we celebrate the birthday of one of the most important women in the history of India. Sir Sarada Devi was born on today's date in 1853. She married Sri Ramakrishna. Together, they taught wisdom and enlightenment to many millions of people. Their legacy lasts to this day, as their teachings live on long after their souls have moved on to the next life. Sri Sarada Devi continued this work for many years after the passing of Sri Ramakrishna. She is called "Holy Mother" by her followers, and her birthday is marked today by many people in India. I wish to quote the last teaching that she made before she passed on in 1920: "If you want peace, then do not look into anybody's faults. Look into your own faults. Learn to make the world your own. No one is a stranger; the whole world is your own" Swami Nikhilananda wrote a very nice biography called "Holy Mother." This was published in 1962 by the Ramakrishna-Vivenknanda Center in New York. I very highly recommend the book to anyone who wishes more information. Namaste! Peace and love to you and all those you love.
