And now the big, bad moderator steps in with a reminder: The topic

under discussion here is the spiritual practice of Shaktism,

Hinduism, Tantrism.

 

Over the past couple of hours, we've received posts that stray

rather aggressively into divisive issues of Indian politics and

society that are not really germane to our topic. We have also

received a post that appears to be (I think?) a lengthy attack on

right-wing Christian crackpots (Jerry Falwell is one of those, FYI,

matridasi! *lol*) -- also not related to Shakti Sadhana.

 

And, ah yes, we've also re-opened the nasty old "Caste" issue, which

tends to provoke social and political pissing contests every time it

rears its ugly head around here. Also with no particular relevance

to topic.

 

Please remember: Even though we're out on the Wild Web, the idea is

to reserve this group as "sacred ground" of sorts. A temple, where

respect and deference to Devi is expected. So please take the hate

and divisiveness outside. And please don't waste much time preparing

a manifesto to advance any of these threads; they likely will not be

approved.

 

My apologies in advance to those who feel I'm being a bloody

fascist, an anti-democratic jerk, a dictatorial censor, etc. To the

rest of our members, I thank you for your patience and understanding.
