According to Bharti, the orders to this effect will be issued late on Thursday. Bharti said, "This is part of the on-going "Gupt Navratri" festival. To symbolise the nine different incarnations of the Goddess, we are appointing nine women inspectors as police station in-charges." The government wanted to bring women at the centrestage of the state policing, Bharti added. She specified the police stations where the nine women inspectors would be posted would not be the ones dealing with atrocities against women. Madhya Pradesh already has "Mahila Thanas" for this purpose. URL: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/440156.cms
