Guest guest
In India there are some goddesses known as the Matrikas. They come in several groups such as seven or eight. Besides, the syllables of Sanskrit are also regarded as Matrikas. Now I have been told that each name of the Lalita Sahasranama is a Matrika Devi. How can that be? When there is a long name in the Lalita Sahasranama, such like "Nava Champaka Pushhabha Nasa Danda Viirajita", is this then one Matrika Devi or several?
