It all boils down to this: besides being in tune with the 13 moon months in a calender year, women are blessed with 13 openings in their bodies, as opposed to the male 12. Count them...2 eyes,2 nostrils,2 ears,1 mouth. 2 nipples, 1 navel, 1 anus, 1 urethra...so far, "even" with men. Now add our glorious vagina,the entrance to the womb,entrance into this world. Men do not have that. And with Freya's day already being sacred to the Divine Feminine Goddess, well,there you have it in a nutshell,as we say. Friday the 13th. A most Divinely sacred day. Worship of Devi has nothing to do with with this patriarchy/feminist stuff. It is about things divine and not exclusively divine feminine. Friday 13 does not coincide with any Shakta festival.
