Kerala is a small south-Indian state on the Arabian sea side of the Indian peninsula, of which nairs are a part of its population. In rest of India marriage is accompanied by vedic rituals. One can find priests to perform these vedic marriage rituals in hindu temples in US. Shakta wedding = Hindu wedding. By hindu wedding is meant, any one of them with its regional variations with the vedic ritual being central. Rgds
