Namaste,

I don't see one for having a daughter. However, it would also be

interesting if anyone could translate these for me.

Many blessings,

Humans will be released from all difficulties, and become

wealthy(with food, money and sons) by your grace without doubt. It

doesnt address any particluar devata.

The remaining two cant be translated into English.

"satisharigela wrote: I dont know the source of these and did not ask

I remember the last time when somebody came here and ask the same

question about conception, 2 people [ one of which is me ]responded

and give details plus some mantras etc. You reacted strongly and told

us off that we shouldn't be doing such a thing. I will try to retract

that particular message.

So my question is why do you make an exception this time? and Not

knowing the source?

Perhaps in future, you could consult the moderators first before

posting messages from an Id you are not sure off.

Do what thing? Can you explain? It will help if you can tell me the

message number. What did I strongly react to? To mantras being

posted on any forum?

Will do so. I did not know you have an objection to her messages.

I received them from her id adi_shakti16 and she added "you may

post them to and give me credit".

I thought she might want them posted. So I did and acknowledged.

I would have posted regardless of who sent them.

Dear Satish:

Not to worry. None of this is particularly surprising (or

particularly interesting) at this late date. We've seen this sort of

foolishness before; and we'll surely see it again in various forms.

Whatever. My only comment concerns this line:

*** she added "you may post them to and give me

credit". ***

Let me reiterate the group's rule that anyone posting information

taken "cut 'n' paste" from another site should, at the very least,

acknowledge the source -- and certainly should not, under any

circumstance, untruthfully (and perhaps illegally) present the work

as their own.

For the record, the source of this information is not your gentle

correspondent, but http://www.astrojyoti.com/mantras4.htm

It is with a specific reason I said I do not know mantras and asked the person

to simply pray.

There are mantras for everything including making pregnent a woman who has not

had sexual intercourse. It is a bhairava mantra.

But these are all "prayoga" to be done in an emergency and being prayogas the

mechanics can be learnt only with instruction from a person who has walked the

walk. It cannot be done via net or telephone.

But reciting LS etc. with devotion for general wellbeing etc. is OK. but once it

turns into a"Prayoga" one requires to be strict on the rules which is a

different ballgame alltogether. It is when they are not followed there is either

no results.

The mantra quoted is NOT putrakameshti mantra but Santhanagopala. Putrakameshti

is an "ishti" or "yaga" or "sacrifice". It is a vaidik ritual lasting

a few days

and it uses hundreds of veda mantras and requires scores of vaideekas. It also

costs a lot. The last putrakameshti that Ihave heard of was conducted more than

when long winded responses that are not of much use except as a piece if

information are needed I prefer to say "I dunno" than to say things that will be

of use to none.

Namaste DB and all,

I don't know anything about this site that you have listed as a link

and probably can't evaluate it properly, but it reminds me of little

spell books sold in occult and metaphysical stores. They're

attractive to folks who are not serious practictioners of the faith

and don't want to trouble themselves with ethical questions etc. This

little books are not generally favored by serious witches and pagans.

Is there a similarity here or am I mistaken?

A few mantras listed there are correct but overall this site can

be thought of as something like you mentioned.

These will be of no value to a serious practitioner, IMO.
