Guest guest
The questions are: The period of day and night is divided into 30 muhurtas (approx. 48 minutes), fifteen for the day and fifteen for the night. Each muhurta is governed by two of the Catusati Yoginis, which would make sixty Yoginis for a day and night. But because the morning dawn and the evening twilight have four Yoginis, the number of Yoginis is sixty-four (catusati). When each muhurta is governed by two Yoginis, does this mean that one of them governs the fist half of this period of time (approx. 24 minutes) and the other the second half of it? Does each person have a special connection with one of the Yoginis due to his or her time of birth? Is there a text explaining the connection the Yoginis have with time? Can you shed some light?
