Guest guest
At some point in dhyana, no matter whether you have practiced hatha yoga for many years or just started, the body will start communicating to your awareness. It could be the numbness and the resultant unpleasant feeling, or just the awareness of the hold. The body is a self holding entity. It is different from the floor you are sitting, and as long as you experience the hold, it does not melt into it. What is this hold?. Most material objects around you has a hold. Anything which moves around as a whole has a hold and it has an awareness, it's an entity, a sentient being. For eg there are Vast holds like the pacific ocean, and the resultant awareness of the sentient being has a vastness to it. That's why in vedic religion Varuna is the god of the seas and is described as all encompassing, knower of all thoughts etc. Another big holds are the mountains, flowing holds is the river etc. The table in your room also has a hold to it. Even though it does not move around by itself, it gets moved around as a unit. When you move a table in your room, you dont cut it into pieces and reassemble it back. What is this hold?.
