But when u have an imitation of truth, "hindu-cola" for dummies LOL, u will be confident that u already "practice spiritual things" etc. That is a dangerous self-delusion. Some or other kind of alike problems are present in every religion. This is not at all to say that modern islam, judaism or christianity are perfect. Guest guest
What do you think of this notion: if people do anything deeply that stirs their hearts, it can lead them to spiritual transformation, whether they ever read a single scripture or not. If people are not ready for such transformation, it may not happen until they are, no matter how much "true" or "new-agey" religion they partake of, Hinduism or any other. I always believe Spiritual Transformation is a natural process. It happen from within. Sometimes the person may not even realise it. It is those who are around them see the changes such as perhaps changes in the character of the person etc. So no matter how many scriptures one reads, if you are not ready, you are not! You cannot force this transformation. But why should it be scriptures. This transformation can be due to any thing : when one sings, when one doing a service for another. Any act of goodness or perhaps bad too can actually lead to spiritual transformation.
