Hindu American Foundation meets Director of Faith Based Initiative

 

Hindu American Foundation (HAF) met with David Caprara, Director of

the Faith-Based and Community Initiative within the Corporation for

National and Community Service (CNCS, www.cns.gov).

 

In addition to Mr. Caprara, HAF members met with several other

leaders of the Faith Based Inititive, White House Office & discussed

various issues of opportunity to Hindu Americans. Additionally, HAF

presented material about Hinduism, Hindu demographics, and Hindu

contributions to the world, as brief introductions to the Hindu

diaspora. HAF offered itself as a resource to government officials

for input from the growing, politically informed Hindu American

constituency in the United States.

 

Mr. David Caprara extended an official invitation for HAF to attend

several conferences to be held in the coming weeks, including at the

White House.
