Guest guest
At this point, I know what foods set me off. Shellfish (I like shrimp, but have to eat it in moderation), organ meats (no more liver, sob!), sardines set me off, some types of beans... After getting gout following several consecutive family Thanksgiving feasts, I realized TURKEY sets me off! I was eating at a catered luncheon, and one of the hosts (who didn't know me well, but assumed I was Jewish) said, watching me eating sliced ham, "Mr. Rosenberg, you don't have to worry about breaking Kosher laws -- that's turkey-ham, you know." I never kept Kosher in my life, and pork is one of the meats I can eat, but that turkey ham caused immobilizing gouty pain in my elbow and shoulder! Had to take Prednisone pills for a week... -- Len/ Kalipadma On Wed, 19 May 2004 09:15:54 -0000 "N. Madasamy" <ashwini_puralasamy writes: > > You got Gout too! Its nickname the rich man disease.
