Guest guest
I find it interesting that in the Old Testament, the god Yahweh says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. I am a jealous god." I know the Buddhists call the Devas "the proud gods," while the Asuras they call "the jealous gods." Does this make Yahweh an Asura? -- Len/ Kalipadma On Sun, 13 Jun 2004 08:06:00 -0000 "Per Brolling" <brolling writes: > Hey > There is no need for Jesus or his father. > What should we need them for?? > The Trinity. > Stolen from Shiva and Vishnnu. > Yahweh, Jehova or what ever you call him, is a fraud, and so is his > son. Guest guest
You can't blend definitions from disparate systems as if they are bananas and milk. But since you ask, the name of devas and asuras come from the split of the Vedists and Zoroastrians. The God Ahura Mazda became the power hungry Asuras to the Vedists, and the Devas became Devils to the Zoroastrians. - kalipadma Sunday, June 13, 2004 8:35 PM Devas or Asuras?
