Devas or Asuras?

I find it interesting that in the Old Testament, the god Yahweh says,

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me. I am a jealous god."

 

I know the Buddhists call the Devas "the proud gods," while the Asuras

they call "the jealous gods."

 

Does this make Yahweh an Asura?

You can't blend definitions from disparate systems as if they are bananas and

milk. But since you ask, the name of devas and asuras come from the split of the

Vedists and Zoroastrians. The God Ahura Mazda became the power hungry Asuras to

the Vedists, and the Devas became Devils to the Zoroastrians.
