Khadgamala Stotram: Too Hard? (A Brief Dialogue)

Here's am IM chat I had with a sweet, longtime member just this

morning. Maybe some of you will find it useful.

 

MEMBER: hello DB, hope i'm not disturbing?

 

DB: hey stranger! how are you?

 

MEMBER: am good, urself? what r u up to these days?

 

DB: i am just reviewing the final version of Khadgamala Stotram. got

final approval back from Amritaji and Bhasuranandaji just yesterday,

so i guess it's time to post it

 

MEMBER: i read all ur Khadgamala posts but the trouble is that I

dont quite undersrtand. as u know am at the bottom of the ladder as

far as all these are concerned

 

DB: well, there is really nothing to understand

 

MEMBER: what do u mean?

 

DB: the Khadgamala says this: simply recite the names of all the

devis of the SriChakra as listed here, and they will bring you what

you need. at bottom, that's all it is!

 

MEMBER: ohh have to certainly try ... but what does stotram mean?

 

DB: Stotram = Hymn ... Khadgamala Stotram is a Hymn to the Sword of

Shakti

 

MEMBER: ohh ic

 

DB: see there are 100 devis, each an aspect of the One Mahadevi

 

MEMBER: ok

 

DB: each more secret than the one before, each taking you deeper,

closer to the essence of the Divine ... until finally you reach

MahaDevi at the center

 

MEMBER: this is much more interesting, the way u explain

 

DB: ok i am glad. ;-) ... so we figured, for the next 100 weeks,

lets take one of those 100 devis at a time. just put up a photo of

their statue, talk about them and let people know some little bit

about them

 

MEMBER: ok?

 

DB: but even if you never read a single one of those posts, or even

u do but they make no sense, you can still simply recite the

Hymn ... and the devis will do all the rest

 

MEMBER: that is helpful. if they make no sense then I lose interest

 

DB: it is natural. so i am glad you mentioned it

 

MEMBER: thats my problem. even tho i was brought up in india, i

wasnt brought up in this kind of environment

 

DB: nor was i, as you know

 

MEMBER: very true

 

DB: see, i am cynically guessing that maybe 10 people of the 1,100

or so in the group will actually try it -- but i am hoping that

number will grow. Amritaji says: it is only those who are ready who

will see it

 

MEMBER: guess i am not ready :-(

 

DB: maybe, maybe not. you don't know until u try ... i have a

sneaking suspicion that maybe u r ready ;-)

 

MEMBER: actually, talking to you now has sparked some interest so i

will give it a try ... that's a promise :-)

 

DB: stand by, i will post the completed document today

 

MEMBER: wonderful!

 

DB: in fact, i suspect that some people will be angry we are sharing

so much information. it reveals a lot that formerly would have

passed only between initiates and gurus. but there is nothing

dangerous in there.

 

MEMBER: sharing with who? u mean just posting it?

 

DB: yes, posting it -- sharing it with our members

 

MEMBER: well as i see it, its a way of helping ... and one is

supposed to be a helping hand

 

DB: that is my feeling as well

 

MEMBER: thats what gita says, to help ur neighbours

 

DB: Khadgamala is a great treasure u know. it can help a LOT of

people.

 

MEMBER: am sure it is if u say it is

 

DB: but it will only help them if they take time to open the

treasure chest and look inside and try

 

MEMBER: yes

 

DB: anyway enough of that ... sorry if i sounded all serious today.

just all absorbed in getting this document up

 

MEMBER: oh not at all, ur explaining it makes it more interesting

than just reading the posts. am looking forward to trying!

 

DB: thank u, then maybe i will post this as an anonymous dialog to

help others -- would u mind?

 

MEMBER: not at all, am honored

 

DB: ok, then i will do it

Yes some people do not like it. But do you know what my experience is? Those who

are not ready will not be interested.

somepeople with the wrong agenda (I know there are some here from the posts a

few days ago) will try to misuse and misinterpret. But they do so at their own

peril. Remember its a sword. It will cut the bonds of those who approach it

reverentially. For others according to their intention.

This is already in so many sites. So no harm done. *smile*
