Guest guest
On your site http://shaktisadhana.50megs.com/MahavidyasMenu.html you do not give the name of Jvalamukhi Devi as one of the Mahavidyas. Why? Alexandra Why not you look up some books where mahavidyas are listed?
Guest guest
Thanks mahahradanatha for this, and please stay on the list. I did not know that there was a natural flame at this Devi's pitha, most interesting. Guest guest
Hi Max, I am happy you appreciate my input. There are a lot of other holy places in the Himalayas connected with the natural fires erupting from the crevices like Muktinath in kali Gandaki Area, (which i tried to visit in a pilgrimage but i had to return after ten days of mountain climbing, only two days away from muktinath) also swayambhu Stupa in Kathmandu is built around a huge blue flame, Pashupathinath Linga also is heated from below by the flames. I think all the main pithas are swayambhu i.e. self arisen natural formations. all the flames in the Pithas and holy Places that erupt from the center of the earth are formedn by burning water. I used to live near the swayambhu stupa and the water that run down the road from the natural springs was saturated which gases you could put the water in a container and ignite it. There is a profound symbolism containend in the burning water. Prana can be dived in post and prenatal prana, the prenatal prana is a unified field of the white and red bindu and mixed bindu (siva sakti union and yourself one whole undivided transgender experience) so as long as you do not breath and receive the energy through the navel from the mother you are in primordial union. In the moment you fall from the mother womb and start breathing the bindus part following the natural course the fiery part inherited from the mother rises up to the brain, and the cold watery part follows its natural course and moves down. Because of that the male female union breaks up and you enter duality causing the differentiation into three bindus. In the following 16 years the pranas differentiate more and more until you look for the male or female without. The Phase before the leakage of the red bindu(Menstruation) or the white bindu (ejaculation) is part of the esoteric doctrine of the Kumari. This leakage of life energy happens around 16 years. taht is way some goddesses and gods are describned to be always sixteen years old. The esoteric meaning is that they so not leak life force or look for male female union outside of the own body. The fire that is burning on top of the water is a symbol connected with ageold yoga practices that aim at regaining the primal Prana. btw because the fire moves upward adding fire energy to the brain ny meditation without cooling the heat (symbolised by the ganga in shivas hair or the constant need for abhisheka of the Shiva Linga) can be dangerous. water has to be above the heat otherwise death occurs. Sorry dinner is ready i have to go:) , Max Dashu <maxdashu@l...> wrote: > Thanks mahahradanatha for this, and please stay on the list. > > I did not know that there was a natural flame at this Devi's pitha, > most interesting. > > Max > > > Jwalamukhi is one of the nitya deities and > >one of the 51 pitha goddesses her shrine is in manali area and > >consist of a natural fire that exists by itself and cannot be > >extinguished. Guest guest
Sorry i made a mistake it should read: the life energy inherited from the father moves upward, that of the mother downward. This yoga of reversal so that fiery energy moves below the water is also hinted at in some verses of the saundaryalahari. The dual energies are expressed as fire and water in the body and sun and moon in the macrocosm. Also the macrocosmic energies of sun moon planets and stars, elements and directions of space are utilised in sadhana. Maybe it is worthwile to notice that all these energies are/can be personified in the form of differing deities.
