Guest guest
Hey Chris: Welcome aboard and thanks for your kind words. I hope you'll find the sorts of information you're looking for here. I'd only note that we are not a "supremacy" group of any kind. When you toss around ideas like "the superior culture created by the superior Indian race," and "the female is divine and superior to the male," you're leaving the realm of spirituality and toying with the fringes of fascism. If you say that India has produced one of the greatest cultures of world history, I am with you 100%. If you experience the Divine primarily in its feminine aspect, you're in the right place, and you'll find a lot of the information you need right here, most of it in a very Indian/Hindu context. But when you talk about Indians (as a class) being superior to non- Indians (as a class), without qualification or explanation, that's just racism. And when you talk about the female (as a class) being superior to the male (as a class), again without qualification or explanation, that's just sexism (or, alternatively, sexual fetishism). But it's not spirituality, and it's not Shakti Sadhana. Having said that, your enthusiasm is great and your thirst for knowledge is admirable. Keep it all in balance, and you'll be fine. And again, welcome to the group. DB
Guest guest
I share your interests and love of Indian culture, but as a fellow white male I have to state that your talk of "superior" races is absolute rubbish! Humanity is a very infintisemal part of the universe and to claim anything as "superior" is surely folly and nothing else. Matriarchal societies??? I hear there are still some to be found in Kerala and perhaps looking into the Northeastern tribes you may find more, but I am not certain. a message dated 7/29/2004 12:30:32 AM Eastern Daylight Time, "alwaysyoufirst2000" <alwaysyoufirst2000 writes: >Hello, I am a white male who has a deep fondness of all things >Indian. In Malaysia Peninsula in the state of Negri Sembilan, they are still Traces of Matriarchal culture. But again there is still a debate going on as what do you term as Matriarchal? Since we are in this issue. I had an interesting encounter with a Young chatter. Initially he appears impress with our group but when He browses through our homepage and upon seeing all the Mahavidyas sitting on Top of "Siva", he was disturb. He asked: hey! What kind of group Are you? Huh! You think what! Women are more superior to man. Huh! You all are female supremacist group? And on and on he goes. I'm not Even give the chance to explain. So I just put him on ignore and Close the subject. I guess this is some of the reaction I get from people who really do Not understand. Another encounter is a white Australian man who seems To believe that all women are superior to man and he offered to be my Slave [gosh!] Hahahaaaaa and when I explain to him about my path and about the Shakta's he was so disappointed. His last parting Words are: I really do not understand why you choose not to be Worship and be treated as a Goddess. Why don't you accept that as Woman you are superior to me. He sounds like rather a bossy slave! Which makes sense in a way, because as Jung saw, the unconscious mind tends to take the opposite point of view to the conscious. Therefore a man with a dominating character may find himself dreaming about finding a woman who will dominate him. Om Shantih, Colin
Guest guest
Forgive me if I've offended anyone. But there are numerous qualifications for my belief that Indians are superior people. Where do I begin to list all the accomplishments throughout time? Not enough room here. I am not Indian, yet I love Indians and their culture, it is truly the greatest culture in human history. And the supremacy, or rather, the superiority of the female is just now being discovered by experts in all fields of knowledge, from psychologists to evolutionary biologists to historians. If we had more female leaders in this world, there would be world peace. Just my opinion, an opinion of an admiring white male. :-) Chris
